Avalon Railway Carriage

Avalon is our 1930s railway goods wagon which has been rescued from a local farm and converted into cosy and quirky guest accommodation. Set in our plum orchard, the 5m long wagon sleeps four in one double bed and a day bed with a trundle bed beneath it, all with proper mattresses.

The carriage is insulated to keep it warm in the evenings but also has big double doors on each side to allow you to open it up in the daytime. It’s off grid but you have solar lights and candles for when the sun goes down.

Outside your carriage you’ll have your own picnic table for alfresco dining, and there’s a covered kitchen and dining area. a shower, a composting toilet, a washing up area and a campfire.

Open April to September.
