Welcome

**NEW CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19 STATEMENT 23rd March 2020**

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport have released new guidance this morning advising all non essential travel cease, including travel to second homes and holiday premises and inclusive of camp sites, caravan sites and leisure parks.
We must therefore close until further notice. Anyone who has already booked will be given a refund.
Please stay safe and keep looking after each other!

Welcome to the Orchard Getaway, an award winning luxury campsite set amongst plum trees in the beautiful Vale of Evesham in Worcestershire.

The market town of Evesham is three miles away, and you can reach the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a 10-minute drive.

At the top of the orchard sits a seven metre Mongolian yurt which sleeps four in one double and two single beds. The yurt has its own shower, composting toilet, outside kitchen and seating area.

Sharing an area further down the orchard are Avalon Carriage, a converted 1930s railway wagon, Greengage Yurt, a 5 metre Kyrgyz yurt and Swan, a fully furnished 4 metre bell tent. Each unit has its own picnic table for alfresco dining, and there’s a shared mess tent with a social cooking and eating area. Other communal facilities include showers and compost toilets.

There are several walking and cycle routes nearby for all abilities and fitness levels, including some long-distance paths such as the Cotswold Way and Wychavon Way. We are happy to provide advice on routes, or support if you’d like transport to or from particular sections of these paths. On site bike hire is also available with bikes provided by Evesham Adventure Playground

The site is totally off grid so there is no electricity, but you’ll be provided with candles and battery- or solar-powered lights, and there are books and games to borrow to keep you entertained. Campfires are permitted on site so gather round the crackling logs and admire the starry sky away from modern gadgetry.

We are really pleased to have made the final four in the Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence 2019.

We are really proud to have been awarded the Wychavon Intelligently Green award in recognition of our efforts to make sure our site has as low an impact on the environment as possible while benefiting our guests and the surrounding communities.

Here are some of the judges’ comments :

“Attractive accommodation – great for tourism.”

“Visitors see environmental practices in action and may take them away and change their behaviours at home.”

“Very strong business concept that demonstrates that you can a run a successful business along intelligently green lines.”

You can watch a short video about how we are Intelligently Green here.

review rating 5  We had an amazing time in the greengage yurt this weekend. Myself, husband and our 2 young girls could not have found a more perfect place to get away from everything and enjoy a weekend of relaxation. The toilets and showers were very economical but extremely quirky, the kitchen tent and dining area had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our local produce. Cannot wait to return!

  • review rating 5  We had a lovely stay in the train carriage. I stayed with my friend and my 2 daughters who our 10 and 12. I worried that they would be bored glamping but instead they had a wonderful time just being kids. Was wonderful seeing them play without a phone in there hands. The site was clean welcoming and had everything we needed. I can not fault it. We loved having campfires in the evening. It was just what we needed. Lovely host and lovely place. Thank you for having us

review rating 5  Great time staying at the Burbank Yurt, it's huge and really comfortable. The site is laid out so you have privacy from other guests and we had a really peaceful stay, mainly spent around the fire pit! Marcus and Kirsty were very welcoming and the whole ethos of the site is great. Highly recommended!

  • review rating 5  We came here as a big group on a hen party. The location is stunning! Marcus and Kirsty were so friendly, flexible and helpful! A lot of the girls weren't "campers" but we were all more than happy with the facilities....especially the hot open air shower!
